The hard part of a production product is almost never technical.
An observation
The incidents I have lived through rarely came from an algorithm. They came from an unspoken assumption between two people.
Three useful habits
- Write down the decision, not only the code.
- Say early what will not work, even when it is uncomfortable.
- Treat user support as product data, not as a chore.
AI speeds up producing code. It does not speed up two people agreeing on what to build — and that is exactly where the value sits.
